Starting and growing a business isn't as glamorous as it seems. It's hard work and hustle. Trying to raise a family at the same time brings a whole new set of challenges. In this lecture, we go in-depth with start-up dental practice owners to discuss what it takes to run a successful dental office and maintain a work-life balance.
Our speakers will share their journeys and experiences, as well as advice for those looking to launch their own dental business and shatter the parenting status quo.

Born and raised in Orange County, California, Dr. Brittany Su has always had a love for people. Since her first ever medical mission trip at the age of 14, she set it in her heart and mind that she would one day travel the world to bring healing to hearts and bodies through music and medicine. Over 12 years later, having graduated from the Peabody Institute of the Johns Hopkins University with a B.M. in Violin Performance and a Doctorate in Dental Surgery from the Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry of USC, her passion is stronger than ever. When not actively serving her patients, Dr. Su enjoys time with her husband, newborn baby, Mila, and fur babies, Apollo and Theo! They can often be found at a coffee shop spending quiet time together or walking along their favorite scenic routes.
Dr. Michele de Souza was born and raised in Brazil, where she attended dental school for the first time and graduated in 2005. She practiced in her own private office in Brazil for 8 years before she relocated to the United States. She graduated with honors from the International Dental Program at Loma Linda University in 2018, where she received her DDS degree. When she is not working, she spends time with her 3-year-old son Cristiano and her husband. She loves to travel, experience new cultures, and try new cuisines. She is also a big napper, but it has been a while (at least 3 years) since she had a good nap!!!
